Give the Gift of Financial Confidence

A significant part of the holiday season is about giving. While I love giving gifts to the people I love, it’s also important to remember that you can give a gift to yourself that you will benefit from for a long time to come. You can give yourself the gift of financial confidence by making sure that you are doing the right things to take care of your financial future.

Here are some ideas for giving yourself the gift of financial confidence this year:

1. Set aside a portion of your holiday budget and put it toward a retirement plan to fund your 401k or IRA.
2. Give the gift of confidence by contributing to a long-term investment in your loved one’s future (your kid’s college fund, books about investing, or money earmarked for a specific purpose.)
3. Take the guesswork out of your investments by finding a coach whose investment philosophy is in line with your long-term goals.

Remember that confidence looks good on everyone, and it is one-size fits all. Have a wonderful holiday season!
